Our herd is Original Population Traditional Hereford which means they can trace their roots back for centuries. Native, small by modern standards, thrifty, docile and outstanding at converting pasture to beef, Traditional Herefords are outstanding cattle. Our herd is registered pedigree and we often have stock for sale
Our native breed sheep and cattle eat nothing but grasses, herbs and hedgerows because as ruminants, this is what they love! It means that the beef and hogget we produce is full of nutrients and high in Essential Oils Omega 3. They're full of flavour because they grow slowly with no additional inputs like grain, cereals or soya. The land they live on is chemical free, we avoid chemical wormers whenever we can preferring natural solutions and clean pastures. Our Tamworth pigs roam our woods.
We only started farming in 2017, an always-dreamed-of adventure to produce good food from healthy soil and happy animals. But despite being new to farming, our farming practice is as old as agriculture itself, no artificial inputs and minimum intervention.
